HelmholtzEquationOfStateGetTemperatureAfterIsenthalpicPressureChangeInGasPhase(DimensionfulQuantity, DimensionfulQuantity, DimensionfulQuantity) Method

Gets the gas temperature after an isenthalpic pressure change in a gas. For example, this is the case if the gas is expanded through a throttle valve. ATTENTION UNCHECKED: this function assumes that the adiabatic pressure change happens in single gas phase, i.e., no phase transitions occur.

Parameters

initialPressure  DimensionfulQuantity
The initial pressure in Pa.
initialTemperature  DimensionfulQuantity
The initial temperature in K.
targetPressure  DimensionfulQuantity
The target pressure in Pa, i.e. the pressure after the adiabatic pressure change.

Return Value

DimensionfulQuantity
The temperature of the gas in K after the adiabatic pressure change. If no solution is found, NaN is returned.
